First Female President Of UP Bar Council Shot Dead In Agra Court Premises
Newly elected President of UP Bar Council Darvesh Yadav was shot dead in Agra Civil Court today evening, reports the IANS.
She is the first woman to be the Chairman of UP Bar Council, who was elected two days back. It is reported that the attacker was Advocate Manish Sharma, who opened three rounds of fire at Yadav, who was inside the chambers of Advocate Arvind Kumar Mishra. As per eyewitnesses, after the attack, Manish Sharma fired a shot at himself.
Darvesh, who was elected to the post two days ago, had come for a visit to the civil court when she was attacked around 2.30 pm. Advocate Manish Sharma, who shared an office with Darvesh in Agra district court was one of her close aides and had campaigned for her immensely.
According to the eyewitnesses, Darvesh Yadav who was shot three times succumbed on the spot Accused lawyer Manish, then went on to shoot himself The motive of the attack has not been ascertained as yet. Darvesh's body has been sent for a post mortem.
